James worked at Standard Steel in the furnace room, heat treating dept., and lastly as a crane operator in the scrap yard.
He loved his family, especially the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed pulling bass out of the Juniata River and catching trout on the West Branch with his own hand-tied flies. He enjoyed taking the longer scenic route on his way to his favorite restaurants in the surrounding areas. He loved watching Nascar and he was one of Dale Earnhardt’s biggest fans. He enjoyed woodworking, was a Lionel model train enthusiast, and he was a proud supporter of the PA Lottery! When he quit drinking in 1992, the third shift at the Stroh’s brewery was no longer needed.
