Betsy Haller Tomasik, 72, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 7, 1952, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Pauline (Linthurst) Haller and Robert Haller, who survives.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Haller.
In addition to her father, she is survived by children, Jon Tomasik and wife, Karen, of Alaska, and Carrie Wendorf and husband, Justin, of McClure; two granddaughters, Emily and Rebecca Tomasik; siblings, Steven Haller and wife, Sherry, of Leesport, Paul Haller, of Lewistown; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Haller, of Newport.
She was a member of Vira Methodist Church, and a member of the Women’s Service Club.
Betsy attended Chief Logan High School, and graduated from Brick Township High School in New Jersey, Class of 1970. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University.
She worked as a child welfare worker in Phoenix, Arizona, and as a Librarian at the Mifflin County Library.
Betsy was an avid reader. She loved people, and enjoyed talking and listening to their stories. She was an animal lover and enjoyed knitting.
A memorial service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
