Winifred H. "Winnie" (Hollen) Sprout

Winifred H. “Winnie” Sprout, 94, formerly of Lewistown, passed away at 9:25 a.m., Thurs., Nov. 24, 2016, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

Born April 19, 1922, in Mt. Union, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Swailes) and Boyd Hollen.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

She is survived by: a daughter, Linda A. Rheam and husband, George, of Lewistown; two grandchildren, Renee Harper and husband, Kevin, of Altoona, and Richard “Rick” Barlett and wife, Karen, of Reedsville; three great-grandchildren, Kareena Stuter, Kyle Morgan and his companion, Terra Kenawell, and Trent Barlett and wife, Ashley; and three great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Joseph Kyle Morgan, and Emilee Kno Morgan.

Winnie graduated from Lewistown High School, Class of 1940.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was employed as a garment inspector at the Arrow Shirt Factory for over 40 years.  

A graveside service will be held at Noon on Thurs., Dec. 1 at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown, with the Rev. Kari Swigart officiating.
