William E. Liddick, Sr.

William E. Liddick, Sr., 77, of Lewistown died at 6:23 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Golden Living Center – William Penn.

Born Jan. 16, 1939 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Carrie (Kinslow) and Frank Liddick.

In addition to his parents William was also preceded in death by his foster parents, John and Myra Shirk, and three brothers, Eugene, Donald and Howard Liddick.

William is survived by: his wife, Linda K. (Guthridge) Liddick, whom he married Aug. 12, 1967; his daughter, Lori A. Liddick and companion, Jeff Sechrist, and his son, William E. Liddick, Jr. and wife, Melissa, all of Lewistown; four grandchildren, Kea, Melixa, Bailey and Caden; great-grandchildren, Keelynn and Kadley; his siblings, Nancy Powers, Steve Liddick and Paul Liddick, all of Lewistown, and Connie Kownacki, of McVeytown.

He retired from Fairmont Foods and was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a life member of Highland Park Fire Co.

William enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening.

He will be greatly missed by his loyal companion, his dog, Candy.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with Rev. Randy Traxler officiating.

A viewing will be held from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 18 at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
