Vesta J. (Richard) Breneman

Vesta J. Breneman, 76, of Granville, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:35 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ohio.

Born March 13, 1941, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Sadie (Weimer) and David S. Richard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jay W. Richard and Harold L. Richard and a sister, Betty L. Richard.

She is survived by: her husband, David A. Breneman, Sr., whom she married on August 28, 1960; her children, Lisa (Rodney) Kennedy, Shari (Raymond) Druckenmiller, David, Jr. (Lori) Breneman, Julie (David) Cherry, Joanne (Andrew) Ort, Rachel (Christopher) Linton, Heather (Brian) Gipe, and Nathan (Dyalyn) Breneman; siblings, Carl R. Richard, Joanne R. Price, and David S. Richard, Jr.; 29 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Vesta was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1959.

She retired from the Domestic Relations Office at the Mifflin County Courthouse.

Vesta was a member of Faith Bible Church, McClure, where she played piano and organ.

Vesta excelled as a wife, mom and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the river and also enjoyed playing board games. Vesta was selfless, had a hospitable servant’s heart, touching many people’s lives.

A viewing will be held from 7 – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2 at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc. Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St. Lewistown.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, with an opportunity to view from 10 – 11:00 a.m., at Maitland Church of the Brethren, 315 Crossover Drive, Lewistown with Pastor John A. Johnson officiating.

Interment will take place in Maitland Cemetery, Lewistown.
