Susan Jane Grumbine, 61, of Lewistown, died at 7:13 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Golden Living Center-William Penn.
Born March 10, 1954, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Dale K. Rhodes and Hannah June (Harshbarger) Rhodes, who survives.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by Melissa Grumbine, her infant daughter, on Dec. 12, 1980, and her husband, John W. Grumbine, on Dec. 7, 2009.
Susan is survived by: brothers, Marlin Lee, Jeffrey Dale and David Lynn Rhodes, all of Maitland Gardens, and a sister, Beverly Meyer, and husband, Dennis, of Fairbault, Minnesota; nephews, Michael Snyder and wife, Kelsey, and Timothy Meyer; and two great nieces, Avri Rose Benolken and Braelyn Skye Snyder.
She was a high school graduate.
Susan was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with Rev. Charles Hershberger and Rev. Gary Roth officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., July 31, at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Mt. Rock Cemetery.
