Shirley E. Stains, 95, formerly of Yeagertown died at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Valley View, Belleville.
Born July 18, 1919 in Yeagertown she was a daughter of the late Harry T. and Olive E. (Austin) Albright.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifford L. Stains, on December 29, 2003; her son, Thomas A. Stains on Nov. 17, 2004; and a half-brother, Ralph Albright.
Shirley is survived by: son, Brian Stains, of Fairfield, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Stains Player and husband, Robert, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a grandson, Clifford I. Stains and wife, Marilyne, of Lincoln, Nebraska.
She was a graduate of Yeagertown High School.
Shirley was a member of Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was an avid gardener and cook, and was active in her church.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Philip Tundel officiating.
Interment will take place in Vira Methodist Cemetery, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley’s name may be made to Holy Communion Evangelical Lutheran Church, N. Main St., Yeagertown, PA 17099 or to Valley View Haven, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004.
