Paul J. Burket, 80, of Burnham, died at 12:41 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Malta Home.
Born May 13, 1935 in Blair County he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary (Freidhof) Burket.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Paul is survived by: his wife, Connie M. (Carnill) Burket whom he married Sept. 20, 1957; his daughter, Cheryl Ann Smith and husband, Richard, of North Lauderdale, Florida; his son, Donald Burket and wife, Judy, of Eldred; his sister, Jean L. Dively, of Claysburg; three grandchildren, Melissa Ann Snyder and husband, Jason, Angela Pinto and husband, Asher, and Margarita Moulier; and great-grandchildren, Elijah Pinto, William Moulier and Maliha Pinto.
He was 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He enjoyed woodworking, being outside, picnics, horseshoes, playing cards and gardening. In his earlier years he liked to hunt and fish and was an avid bowler. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown with Father William Weary officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m., Thursday at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., 108 First Ave., Burnham.
Interment will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
