Lester E. Barner, 67, of Lewistown, died at 3:23 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Feb. 5, 1949, in Mifflintown, he was a son of the late Arlene L. (Swartz) and Malvern J. Barner.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Barner and a sister, Vonnie Ridley.
He is survived by his brother, John Barner, of Beavertown, and his sisters, Blanche Riden and husband, Mike, of Lewistown, Maxine Zook and husband, Len, of Beavertown and Melanie Hosler and husband, Terry, of Lewistown.
Lester was a Brethren in Christ by faith.
He was past president of The Sunshine Club.
Lester enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved his nieces and nephews very much. He was very creative and liked playing bingo.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25 at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
A memorial service and meal will immediately follow from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Moose, 80 Brady Lane, Lewistown.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
