Frank “Peach” C. Wagner Sr., 88, of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Aug. 28, 1928 in Milroy, he was a son of the late Mary Margaret (Phillips) and Prestie Z.C. Wagner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Sue Wagner; and his siblings, Alma Elizabeth Rankin, Harold “Red” Wagner and Annabelle L. Wilson. He was the last of his immediate family.

He is survived by: his wife, Roselee L. (Strausser) Wagner, whom he married June 3, 1990; his children, Frank C. Wagner Jr., and wife, Carol, of Lewistown, Jana L. Wagner, of Reedsville, James J. Wagner and wife Cara, of Lewistown; stepchildren, Cathy Strausburg, of Reedsville and Kimbra Trutt and husband, Sonny, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Stephen Wagner and wife, Krysta, Amy Dillon and husband, Mike, Jenny Armstrong, Kris Armstrong, Brandi Wagner French, Maura Wagner and Olivia Wagner; step grandchildren, Jason Goddard, Casie Hall, Sonnie and Justin Bumgardner and Anthony and Jess Trutt; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Frank was a graduate of Burnham High School, Class of 1946.

He had worked in the scrap yard and melt shop as a foreman at Standard Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1985.

Peach was a member of Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church.

Frank’s enjoyment in life was working in his wood shop and his little dog, “Peppy.” He also loved spending time with his family.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, at Ferguson Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 8451 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, with Pastor Kenneth Grove officiating.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
