E. Joyce Wertz, 84, of Lewistown died at 3:08 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at her home.
Born Oct. 8, 1931 in Belltown she was a daughter of the late Fern D. and Clara E. (Walters) Snook.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, G. Thomas Wertz whom she married on Aug. 26, 1950 and a son-in-law, Ray Matthews.
Joyce is survived by: daughter, Sandra Matthews, of Lewistown; son, Stephen Wertz and wife, Patty, of Millerstown; her brother, Kenneth D. Snook and wife, Gloria, of Tucson, Arizona; granddaughters, Stephanie Russler and husband, Ryan, Stacey Mann and husband, Jonathan; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Emily, Evan and Kendall.
Joyce was a graduate of Lewistown High School, class of 1949.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at First United Methodist Church, Lewistown with Revs. Randy Hughes and Karen McCachren officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Interment will take place in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
