Douglas Scott Bollinger, 56, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his home.
Born November 10, 1961, in Lewistown, he was a son of Melvin Douglas and Judy (Gahagan) Bollinger, of Lewistown, who survive.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his paternal grandmother, Shirley Bollinger, of Mount Union; a son, Levi Scott Bollinger, of Lewistown; siblings, Randall Bollinger and wife, Melissa, and Angela Bollinger, both of Lewistown, and Melvin Bollinger, of Milroy; and nephews, Justin, Jared and Colton Bollinger.
He graduated from Lewistown High School.
Douglas was employed as a machinist by the D-M-E Company in Lewistown, a supplier of plastic injection molding and design components, for 28 years. Later, he was a machinist at Overhead Door Corporation.
He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, cutting wood, and going to the Glick farm. Many weekends were spent at the “Redneck Riviera” playing poker and hanging out with his son and his friends, who were like family. Douglas loved Penn State football and was also a Steelers fan.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 18, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
