DOLORES IRENE GROVE went home to be with our Lord on May 5, 2017, at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte, PA, with family around her.
Dolores was born in South Fork, PA, on January 27, 1924. She married Lloyd C. Grove August 30, 1941. Residing many years in Lewistown, PA, Dolores loved family, church, crafts (including making peanut butter and coconut Easter eggs), and flower gardening.
She worked outside the home: ten years for podiatrist, Dr. Sivitz; ten years for Lewistown school system; and twenty-one years for Fisher Electronics.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Mazie M. (Allenbaugh) Seese and brother, Kermit Seese.
She is survived by: her husband, of seventy-five years, Lloyd C. Grove; daughter Myrtle (Joseph) Rech, of Philipsburg, PA; son, Sheldon (Ferne) Grove, of Goodrich, MI; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and ten great- great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Inc., Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA.
A funeral service will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Calvary Bible Church, 100 Calvary Lane, Lewistown, PA with Rev. Michael Grove officiating.
Interment to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana, PA.
