Beverly M. (Sunday) Gilbert

Beverly M. Gilbert, 79, of Lewistown died at 1:02 p.m. Saturday July 25, 2015 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born May 31, 1936 in Milroy she was a daughter of the late Harry B. and Clare (Staley) Sunday.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Barry E. Gilbert, on Sept. 8, 2003; her son, George Lukens; her siblings, William, Dick and Sonnie Sunday; and a granddaughter, Shawnee Treaster.

Beverly is survived by: her children, Don Lukens Sr., and wife, Sharon, of Delaware, Cindy Powell and husband, Kenny, and Brian Lukens, all of Lewistown, Barry Gilbert and wife, Becky, of Connecticut, and Christine Wilhelm, of Reedsville; sisters, Sandy Anderson and Connie Tressler and husband, Carme, of Milroy; grandchildren, Donnie, Stacy, Missy, Kenny, Sheena, Chub, Gretchen, Laura, Lance, Logan, Tate, Vivian, Clarissa; great-grandchildren, Briana, Brandon, Bradley, Braedan, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Gabryella, Emmy, B-Gavin, Owen, L-Gavin, Jett, Oakleigh, Becky, Tori, Makayla and Natasha and one great-great-granddaughter, Anyia.

Earlier in life she had worked at Fishers Electronics and then retired from Scotty’s after 26 years.

She was baptized at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Milroy.

Beverly loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and going for coffee with her daughter and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon July 30 at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Janice Moody officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
