Bernice E. Barnham, 93, formerly of Lewistown, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown.
Born May 14, 1924 in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late Esther E. (Royer) and Raymond C. Bell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Donald, Richard and Ronald Bell.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Barnham, Jr. in September of 1989.
Bernice is survived by: her children, Robert L. Barnham and wife, Joan, of Lewistown, Kay Hackenberry and husband, Jim, of Reedsville, Jeffrey S. Barnham and wife, Holly, of Lewistown, Sidney D. Coldren, of Mifflintown, David E. Barnham and wife, Rhonda, of McAlisterville, and Darryl Ann Hetrick, of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Earlier in life, she had worked as a nurses’ aide at Brookline Manor for 12 years.
She attended Calvary Bible Church and was a member of Gospel Chapel Church, Lewistown.
Bernice enjoyed reading her bible every day, visiting with friends, going for rides in the country and going out to eat at restaurants, especially at the Sticky Bun.
All services are private and under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
